These brands not just battle inside coming up with innovative products, getting the more trendy image model or launching award winning advertising campaigns but they even have their presence felt in the movie industry.

  6. Wrestling – can be watched live or on the TV with massive audiences.
  7. Tennis – Now this may not be as popular as American Football, but it definitely a great sport.
  8. Skateboarding – America launched this sport from nothing to everything, now being taken up around the world.
  9. Surfing – The one true sport that America air lifted into greatness.
  10. Ice Skating – This has been a major sport in America, although it is often overlooked.
  11. Boxing – Is starting to catch up with Wrestling, but needs more time and more frequent fights.
  12. Soccer – Slowly becoming a big sport, with names like David Beckham coming in.
  13. Archery – this isn’t you average sport, but it is a sport, and Archery is something the Americans are great at.
  14. Volleyball – Now I am not entirely sure who invented Women’s Volleyball but i would like to shake their hand.
  15. Cycling – A great sport, America has yet to fully embrace it.
  16. Track and Field – This is a great set of sports, culminated into one, and the Americans excel at it.
  17. Horse Racing – This is never going to be a dying sport, as long as we have horses we will be racing them.
  18. Rock Climbing – This has gone world wide since the film Mission impossible along with various stunts by Alain Robert.
  19. Extreme Sports – Any Sport where injury is almost 100% likely.
  20. Auto Racing – This should come high, but doesn’t because of the category, Monster Truck and Rally are very high though.

The secret to being succesful in sports

One of the wonderful things in our society is sports.  From professional athletes all the way down to little kids.We get the thrill of it all.One aspect of all sports though, no matter how talented you are, it’s going to take the mental aspect as well.

What am I saying with that?We all know about the great athletes physically who just couldn’t make it work.When you examine the reason why, most of the times it was a problem in their head.  I know this for a fact helping a lot of athletes doing sports psychology in San Diego.  At each level you are going to reach a point where everyone is pretty good.The ones that can overcome the mental part of the game are the ones that will find success.

A lot of times the thing holding an athlete back from success is their mental attitude.We see it all the time in cases of pro athletes who are gifted just can’t succeed in their game anymore.

But we are also very aware of the instances where there was an athlete who was struggling suddenly turn it around after hiring a sports psychologist.

In golf, Tiger Woods is hands down the best goler our there in terms of his mental game.Yes, he is probably the best at his game.  But it is amazing to watch his competitors wilt under pressure when playing him.Very good example showing just how mental the game of sports are.

So for those atheltes considering going on with their career in sports, they have to begin in high school.  By starting in high school, I mean they should make sure their mental game is in tip top shape.If they feel they need to, they need to go and hire a therapist.  I get hired all the time to do teen therapy in San Diego to help young athletes. 

When you boil it down to who will make it big or just be a regular, it definitely is all the difference in the world.So when you are struggling in your sport, you need to take a close look at yourself.  A lot of times the physical struggles are a result of mental struggles.
