Who is your favourite Power Forward in the NBA Now and All Time?
For me: Now:Dirk Nowitzki Past:Tim Duncan BQ:Is Tim Duncan the best PF in the NBA All Time?(Hint:I know he is but i want to hear your opinon) BQ2:Karl Malone or Dirk Nowitzki STAR if you think that Tim Duncan is the best PF of all time in the nba John:Mosses Malone is a center @John:4 rings for Duncan. That’s how many he has won so far
Answer:
To address best powerforward of all time, i would have to say yes. both the malones had ridiculously better numbers, and were just scoring machines for 20 seasons, but karl didn’t win jack and moses won once. Duncan won 5 rings in 10 years as a centerpeice of a team that changed over from the robinson twin towers to the foreign duo of parker and ginobili. Duncan just was solid, always made the all star team, an all nba team, and got on the all defensive team. He and kevin garnett were just really consistant constant presences in this era and i think both will make top 50. Duncan was the 20 and 10 centerpeice of 5 championship teams, alot to be said, and he has pretty much dominated the position since he was drafted. the malones just didn’t win anything, and that alone sets duncan apart. He is not flashy, or spectacular, and you would drop dead if he even showed a human emotion on the court, but he is the eternal plumbing that carries a team and allows the nba to function, and for that he is a great. Concerning my favorite powerforwards, kevin garnett now, athletic, over the top emotional and intense, and does what all fans really want out of their atheltes, care just as much, if not more than they do about winning. THe passion he just puts into the game is so endearing to a fan, you cannot dislike him. My past favorite power forward is a difficult one, the position really has only been dominant recently so like you i have to put duncan, as i want a franchise with a legacy but dislike both the malones wiht a passion for some reason. Karl malone over dirk im afraid. Both have went to the finals, but malone played agaisnt the monster bulls team, dallas blew it with the help of hte referrees and dwayne wade. Malone is a better rebounder, essential to a pf, a better defender, one of the better ones in the league, one of the toughest players all time, and a better scorer as well , He is also a multiple time mvp adn second on the all time scoring list, dirks accomplishments pale in comparison to thsi top 15 all time player. glad i coudl help, interesting question
Who would you build your franchise around?
Hey, guys. I have a baseball question for you, and am interested to see what you guys would say about this. If you were told that you could choose one player to build your team around, not only for this year, but also for the future, who would you choose? It could be some young hot-shot prospect, or a proven middle-aged veteran. Thanks for the answers in advance.
Answer:
I’d have to go with Derek Jeter, great player and lot’s of leadership
Is Tim Duncan the best PF today?
I think Timmy is better than KG, he makes his teamates better knows how to win games at least even if they still call him boring, crap you guys are lucky I didn’t have to put up his acheivements, even pau, amare and aldrige can’t do what Tim Duncan has done clearly he’s already among the greats, along with Barkely Malone, etc. so what if Dirk got all nba team, was he able to get all nba team and all defensive team at the same time? he’s already proven to be a leader nobody expected manu and parker to play great at the start of their carrers but somehow he was able to make allstars out of them, he might not be the tim duncan we all grew up and knew but still his pressence is still a force to be reckoned with
